The Mental Health Practice Lead provides clinical oversight of Mental Health services within the Prairies region while offering direct clinical services to share their relevant expertise – the role is 20% Practice Lead, 80% Clinical Psychologist. The MH Lead will work closely with Regional and Clinic Directors to ensure the growth and quality of Mental Health services at Lifemark through effective clinical supervision, mentorship, and positive leadership for Mental Health Providers (MHPs).
The leadership expectations of this role should take no more than 8 hours a week. All additional time must be approved by Regional Director in advance.
Clinical Psychologist
- Conduct psychological assessments and provide specialized treatment with diverse clientele.
- Perform clinical duties as required of their clinical professional role.
- Perform clinical duties within multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary teams.
- Licensed and in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists (Clinical Psychology, Adult Population).
Clinical Supervision & Mentorship
Foster an environment that encourages professional development, job satisfaction, and retention among MHPs by : Conducting regular check-ins with MHPs individually or in Clinics in creating a supportive and encouraging environment for educational opportunities available to MHPs.Oversee the onboarding process for new MHPs, ensuring tailored support based on their skills and experience.Provide ongoing mentorship to strengthen the professional development of MHPs within the Prairies region.Oversee annual quality assurance checks for each MHP in your region following national guidelines.Provide feedback to CD / RD for performance review purposes.Enhancing Clinical Productivity
Foster a high-performing workplace that empowers all MHPs to meet productivity targets (65-70% Client Time)Support underproductive MHPs by identifying solutions such as improved scheduling, case management strategies, or virtual consultations.Offer coaching and mentorship aimed at improving clinical productivity.Clinical Leadership & Development
Serve as a resource Clinic Operations teams regarding mental health services.Educate regional stakeholders about MH services offered by Lifemark.Support continuous improvement initiatives in clinical practice at Lifemark.Specific tasks
Host regular regional meetings for all MHPsAttend bi-weekly National Practice Lead MeetingsProvide regular office hours for case consultations with regional peersImplement stay interviews within the first 3 months of hire; report findings to RDConduct exit interviews beyond standard surveys; report findings to RDParticipate in the hiring process as neededPerform other related duties as requiredApply today!
