About the internship

We are looking for a technical writing intern to join the Tecsys team for a 4-month internship position for the Winter 2026 term (January 2026 - April 2026). In this role will assist in the conversion and updating of our documentation to a structured format using DITA and the Oxygen tool suite.

You will be converting existing content assisted by the Oxygen AI agent and work with other writers to add additional information to the converted help. The successful candidate will be a multitasker with an interest in learning new technologies.

Skills & Qualifications

Must Haves

• Strong writing skills, ideally demonstrated through technical writing samples
• Familiarity with basic Git operations (committing, branching, merging)
• Experience with authoring tools such as Oxygen, Structured FrameMaker, or XMetaL
• Understanding of structured authoring principles and DITA concepts
• A curious technical mindset — you don’t need to code, but you should be comfortable understanding and communicating technical ideas clearly
• Strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication essential for effective correspondence with clients, suppliers, business partners and colleagues beyond the province of Quebec.
