Job description

Tasks

  • Complete the full pay cycle (hourly, unionized and non-unionized) across Canada.
  • Perform timesheet verification and validation as per collective agreements.
  • Create and terminate employees in the pay system.
  • Ensure any changes and maintenance of employee files (change of status, salary increase, change of position, etc.).
  • Administer group insurance (membership, amendment, termination).
  • Balance and submit union dues remittances.
  • Produce various pay-related reports.
  • Manage Records of Employment.
  • Be the point of contact for all pay and group insurance issues.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of HRIS modules.
  • Carry out any other similar tasks.

  • Job requirements

  • DCS in Business Administration or equivalent training / / or experience deemed relevant.
  • Very good knowledge of the MS Office Excel tool.
  • Knowledge of the ADP payroll system (an asset).
  • Knowledge of HRIS (an asset).
  • Minimum 2 years of complete payroll experience.
  • Being a member or expecting to become a member of The Canadian Payroll Association (a considerable asset).
  • Excellent level of bilingualism – employees are across Canada.
  • Knowledge of provincial labour laws and standards.
  • Knowledge or interest in federal labour laws and standards (an asset).
  • Ability to occasionally travel to the Boisbriand and Anjou plant.
