Work schedule : Monday to Thursday, 5am-3 : 30pm

About the opportunity :

As an Inventory Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels within our organization. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring the availability of products to meet customer demand.

The attributes we are looking for :

  • Perform regular cycle counts of inventory items according to the established schedule. Utilize inventory management software or manual counting methods to accurately record inventory levels.Support the audit process as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between actual inventory counts and recorded inventory levels. Identify the root causes of discrepancies, such as data entry errors, shrinkage, or process inefficiencies. Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure that inventory records in the system are up-to-date and reflect the actual physical inventory. Monitor inventory movement and transactions, including receipts, transfers, and withdrawals. Work closely with other departments, such as procurement, customer service and sales, to maintain accurate inventory data.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, provide recommendations for optimizing inventory levels and minimizing carrying costs. Develop strategies for managing excess inventory or shortages.
  • Assist in the organization and optimization of warehouse space to maximize storage capacity. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of inventory items.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline inventory processes and improve efficiency. Recommend enhancements to inventory management systems or procedures to enhance accuracy and productivity.

What you will bring :

  • Post Secondary education in related field or equivalent warehouse experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience in warehouse environment.
  • Strong initiative and decision-making skills to identify and solve problems in a timely and effective manner.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated commitment to development and continuous improvement.
  • Proficient with standard programs including; Microsoft office, WMS and SAP software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint) and SAP or other WMS systems.
