We are currently looking for a dispatcher in Shawville in the Pontiac region of Outaouais, who will be responsible for coordinating bus traffic, ensuring the punctuality of routes, and serving as a frontline advisor for drivers.

Main responsibilities :
Supervise all daily operations of the transportation departmentSupervise and safely coordinate the operation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of all fleet vehiclesPrepare and assign daily routesCoordinate employee training (for new drivers)Monitor and report on travel hours and costsPrepare estimates and invoices for tripsManage / monitor employee work hours, overtime costs, and absenteeismSchedule and coordinate weekly tripsResolve complaints and liaise between service centers, schools, parents, students, and employees, taking corrective actions as neededParticipate in training sessions as needed to stay updatedServe as a point of contact for the transportation department outside normal working hoursAdhere to ethical and professional conduct standards, including confidentiality requirements regarding student and staff informationPerform additional tasks assigned by the directorType of employment

High School Diploma (DES) or equivalentCollege Diploma (DEC) or College Attestation (AEC) in Transportation Logistics (an asset)One year of dispatching experienceBasic knowledge of radio dispatch equipmentComputer skills with Office SuiteKnowledge of Google Maps softwareKnowledge of the road network in the Pontiac and La Pêche areas of OutaouaisNo criminal record related to the jobValid Canadian work permit (mandatory)Spoken and written languages : French and English (mandatory)Required qualities
