Responsibilities
Job Summary : The Translator is responsible for the translation of internal documents developed in English into French in accordance with the organizational style guide and industry standards.
Duties :
- Translate documents from English to French and occasionally from French to English.
- Proofreading documentation.
- Conduct terminology research and maintain the terminology database.
- Keep up with organizational and industry policies and procedures.
- Assist from time to time with special projects.
- Performs other appropriate duties related to translation, or as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
- Fluently Bilingual (French & English) Spoken and Written.
- Bachelor’s degree in translation.
- Minimum of 1-2 years job experience as a translator.
- Excellent proofreading abilities with a thorough knowledge of French grammar and punctuation.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Advanced knowledge of office automation tools such as MS Office Suite.
- Trados software (or equivalent).
