Job description

We have partnered with a machine shop in the Elmira area to recruit a Machinist to join their team permanently for the day shift

In this role, you will :

  • ensure machines are set up to the appropriate standard
  • machine the required parts using CNC lathe equipment
  • perform repairs as set out by client specifications
  • use Fusion360 to design and machine components

  • Responsibilities

  • ensure machines are set up to the appropriate standard
  • machine the required parts using CNC lathe equipment
  • perform repairs as set out by client specifications
  • use Fusion360 to design and machine components
  • Qualifications

    3-5 years of experience working with manual machinery and cnc equipment

  • 3-5 years of experience programming CNC machines
  • experienced with CNC lathe machines
  • experience with 3 axis CNC
  • previous experience in a machine shop environment
  • proven experience working with precision measurement tools and interpreting blueprints and design sketches
  • ability to work as a team member and independently with the ability to take initiative
  • licensed as a machinist 429A is an asset
