Medical Science Liaison - Hepatology

NOTE : Candidate must live in the Greater Toronto-Hamilton Area

JOB PURPOSE :

As a GSK medical science liaison (MSL), your role will function as a key scientific resource for Canadian Hepatology and GI specialists. Your three core responsibilities are : 1) responding to requests for in-depth, scientific information in the field of hepatology; 2) discussing and contextualizing new data from scientific conferences, publications, and GSK's pipeline to ensure a strong external understanding of how the science fits into clinical practice; 3) for driving the capture of important scientific insights from the external environment to support GSK’s research efforts as well inform overall medical strategy. As a GSK MSL, you will be expected to drive impact through robust scientific exchange, improve healthcare professionals scientific understanding of our data, and support optimal care for people living with chronic hepatitis B in Canada.

PRIMARY FOCUS :

As a GSK MSL you will be expected to…

• Identify, establish, and maintain scientific peer-to-peer relationships with key external experts in hepatology and GI through providing scientific exchange and driving impact for patients with the highest industry standards following GSK values, policies, standards, applicable laws, and regulations.
• Be the scientific field-based expert in hepatology in the territory and maintain a deep understanding and knowledge of diseases, treatments, and the competitive landscape to ensure excellent scientific dialogue and clinical knowledge translation.
• Be agile and adaptable to provide value across a continuum of both internal and external stakeholders in a non-promotional manner and be responsive to unsolicited scientific and medical information inquires.
• Serve as the primary interface between the healthcare community within your territory and the internal GSK teams to gather insights that inform current and future business strategies.
• Attend and provide scientific support at medical exhibits and scientific sessions at regional, national, and international medical conferences as needed.
• Provide scientific training for GSK sales representatives regarding GSK products and the conditions they treat utilizing approved sales training materials.

In compliance with Ontario's provincial pay transparency legislation, this job posting includes a salary range to support equitable and informed hiring practices. The annual compensation for this role is CAD115,000 to CAD165,000 , determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
