Technician, Quality Control- Fixed Term Contract

Job‑related skills, experience, education and location will be considered in setting the actual starting base salary.
About the role
In this role you will perform day‑to‑day quality control and quality assurance activities, supporting manufacturing and packaging processes, validating equipment, testing products, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with Validation Activities
- Cleaning validation / verification (sampling, testing)
- Temperature mapping
- Assist with Calibration / PM program
- Assist with execution of validation projects as they arise
- Perform inspections and line clearances according to approved manufacturing and packaging records.
- Perform testing and releasing of packaging components.
- Perform testing and release of bulk and finished product in the QC chemistry lab.
- Review technical documents including packaging orders, batch records, QC testing (bulk and finished product), packaging components, stability and validation testing.
- Perform stability program activities including monitoring and mapping of stability chambers, placing and retrieving stability samples according to the established schedule.
- Assist in the generation and review of SOPs and associated controlled documents.
- Assist lab analysts with daily lab duties as assigned.
- Participate in investigation and follow‑up for non‑conformances (OOS and OOT).
- Assist in developing quality assurance policies and procedures, production capabilities, and recommend improvements.
- Be flexible to work different shifts as required to provide ongoing quality control support to production.
- Work in a manner and with protective devices, measures and procedures required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the regulations.
- Use or wear protective equipment, devices or clothing that the company requires.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
Minimum college diploma.Quality Control / Assurance experience in a GMP environment.Preferred Experiences and Skills
Knowledge of validation / calibration of manufacturing equipment.Experience performing physical / chemistry testing in a GLP laboratory.Knowledge of applicable regulatory and industrial standards related to cGMP and GLP.Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.WHMIS training.Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks.Working knowledge of SC Johnson Professional product line.Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with manufacturing staff, administration staff and external contacts.Good verbal and written communication skills in dealing with outside contacts and internal staff.Good judgement and problem‑solving skills when dealing with results that require modification or resolution.Job Requirements
5 hours per day as assigned by the Supervisor with a 30 minute lunch break, and two 15 minute breaks, Monday to Friday.Must be available to work all shifts : days, nights, weekends.Overtime available as required and pre‑approved by manager.This position is not eligible for relocation.This position is not eligible for remote work.Inclusion & Diversity
