A career as a Manager - Investment Operations within the large Securities Operations team (Investment Operations) means being at the heart of deliveriing products and services to National Bank’s wealth management clients.

You will manage a team of 35 employees. To succeed, you will be supported by 2 section managers and experts.

Your role

Manage and engage a team responsible for operational processes

Develop a business plan for your sector that aligns with the bank’s objectives

Implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity

Help improve operations by identifying and preventing / correcting problems

Keep up to date with the latest technology and work processes to increase productivity and reduce costs

Help your team excel by setting and monitoring performance goals

Engage and help your employees grow and develop their skills

Collaborate effectively with industry partners.

Your team

At NBIN (National Bank Independent Network), your team – CPMC (Client Profile Management Control) – is in charge of opening accounts and managing documentation. You report to the Senior Manager - Investment Operations.

When a new customer joins the bank via NBIN, we need to ensure that the accounts are properly configured in our systems. At the same time, we must comply with the regulations by correctly processing the various information provided by our new client to ensure the tax regulation and industry in general.

This position allows you to collaborate with several teams in Montreal (operations, operational compliance and several business line teams).

You develop your knowledge of operations end to end, collaborate in projects and everything related to continuous improvement.

You further develop your management, operational and regulatory skills.

The investment operations sector offers several opportunities.

Prerequisites

BA related to industry and several years of relevant experience

Experience in managing people and coaching less experienced managers

Experience in operations management and process optimization

Experience in project management, particularly improvement (e.g. Lean 6 Sigma - green belt)

Experience in planning and organizing work based on volume, resources and priorities

Experience in managing operational performance (KPI, deadlines, quality) and collective performance (synergy and teamwork)

Knowledge of securities regulation (CRS, FATCA, QI, RPCFAT), an asset

Good communication and ability to engage a team

Fluent in English, your team being based in Toronto. Knowledge of French is a strong asset for communicating with Montreal teams.
