The Guest Services Ministry Associate is passionate about recruiting, equipping, developing, and coaching leaders so that volunteer teams thrive, and guests experience the highest degree of service. This role empowers volunteer teams to create compelling, engaging guest experiences at Village Church Surrey, while elevating the serving culture and inspiring ownership across the ministry.
At its heart, this role is about calling people to serve and inviting them into the work God is doing through the local church.
This position is an 18-month contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage volunteer teams by recruiting, training, developing, and equipping Leads and team members.
- Oversee the Sunday and midweek guest experience, ensuring it meets Village Church’s standards of excellence.
- Collaborate on yearly strategy, budget, and ministry calendar.
- Champion the Volunteer Appreciation Strategy so that team members feel valued, connected, and supported.
- Equip and collaborate with Team Leads; serve as Interim Team Lead when needed.
- Administrate Village Connect for accurate reporting and follow-up.
- Act as the Incident Coordinator and support emergency preparedness across sites.
- Manage Guest Services equipment, supplies, and truck transportation.
- Lead ministry-specific events and the You Make It Happen class.
- Own the guest experience for events and lobby initiatives.
- Support Village-wide and regional events and contribute to the launch of new locations.
- Commit to continuous spiritual, personal, and professional growth.
- Lead by example as a servant-hearted leader who thanks at least one volunteer weekly.
