Senior Oracle Forms Developer to support the migration from OS to WebLogic for a Federal Government client
Our valued Public Sector client requires a Senior Oracle Forms Developer to support their migration from OS to WebLogic.
The system is already in production and the work includes testing and correcting problems during WebLogic upgrades, delivering application enhancements as requested by the client, and ongoing operational support.
Tasks :
- Attend JAD sessions to understand client requirements
- Provide level of effort estimates on identified system requirements and sustaining activities
- Create system documentation
- Design and implement requirements
- Unit test code and perform system testing
- Perform analysis and system testing to determine source of reported errors
- Support release process (TEST, CATE, Production, training)
- Complete the migration of the OAS to WebLogic and perform testing to ensure the application is working properly
- Perform any required coding changes to ensure all upgrade issues are resolved and test the changes
- Resolve any further issues identified by the clients in UAT testing
- Document any changes to the applications
- Document progress, client interactions, etc. within the JIRA software as issues are initially documented within Jira by the client.
- Ensure that software changes to Forms, Reports, Libraries, etc. are maintained in the PVCS library (version control software).
Must-haves :
- 3+ years of experience creating views in Oracle Forms
- 1+ years of experience using WebUtil, Oracle Reports, and SQL Developer / DELL Toad
Nice-to-have :
- Knowledge of Oracle Objects for OLE for Autofill Components
- Knowledge / exposure to Java
