Reporting to the Claims Manager, the Associate Claims Analyst will investigate, manage and settle all assigned claims within the respective companies SIR and facilitate the diligent resolution of claims. This position will be a member of the Insurance and Risk team.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Coordinate incident response activities for field operations.
- Administer and process invoices related to property, contents, and liability claims, including issuing purchase orders and ensuring timely payment.
- Collaborate with insurers, operations, and technical services to manage property claims and prepare claim presentations for insurers or internal stakeholders.
- Recommend reserve levels, identify required investigative steps, prepare action plans for approval, and negotiate fair and satisfactory settlements.
- Document all claims activities and correspondence in Avenue’s Claims Management System.
- Partner with Risk Analysts to review and analyze incident and claims data, identify trends, and recommend risk control strategies.
- Pursue subrogation and recovery efforts with third-party insurers and identify files appropriate for litigation.
- Manage relationships with third party claims adjusters, forensic specialists, and restoration vendors.
- We are a flexible and proactive team, readily taking on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve.
WHAT WILL YOU NEED?
Post‑secondary education (2–4 years) or equivalent experience in finance, risk management, insurance, or a related field preferred.Up to 2 years of experience in insurance claims, brokering, or risk management considered an asset.
CRM and / or CIP designation (completed or in progress) preferred.Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract and ability to travel as required.Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and adapt in a dynamic organization.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage at all organizational levels.Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to evaluate data and reach sound conclusions.WHAT DO WE OFFER?
