Position and Responsibilities

Reporting to the superintendent analytical, you oversee daily operations for lab testing and data analysis to ensure quality and quantity of output meets department expectations.

You coordinate and monitor standards for lab safety, policies, procedures, and productivity while providing coaching and performance feedback, ensuring a high-performing team that meets and exceeds performance expectations.

You drive continuous improvement and lead 5s activities for all inspection and testing areas.

In addition, you provide final review, where required, for completeness and accuracy of testing results, identify and resolve technical issues through root cause analysis, provide review and direction for the training programs for new hires and current employees to ensure compliance is achieved for all training requirements.

You will take the lead in development of lab space including equipment selection, procurement, installation, and validation, ensure staffing plans and work schedules are maintained to meet KPI’s and achieve operational and lab objectives.

Education and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess :

  • Engineering, environmental or chemistry degree
  • 5-8 years relevant work experience gained in a nuclear or chemical facility
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Strong interpersonal skills working with all levels within an organization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, attentive to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Clear background check
