Job description

Our client is a true community player. They collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance safety awareness through and education across the province.They do this by distributing marketing and reading materials to various organizations to increase the visibility of the fire protection, and prevention.As the DC's Administrative Assistant, you will work closely with the DC Supervisor and assists in all aspects of the distribution center. What We Offer :

  • Salary :  $20.50 per hour plus 4% vacation pay paid weekly.
  • Shift  :  Monday to Friday 8am-4 : 00pm. (37 hours weekly)
  • Benefits : Casual Dress, Health, Dental, Vision, EAP Program.

What You'll Do :

  • Process customer orders, including order entry and shipping management.
  • Perform data entry and maintain organized filing systems.
  • Manage accounts receivable functions.
  • Assist with the execution of various campaigns.
  • Maintain and update the company's social media platforms and website.
  • Ensure general housekeeping and organization within the facility.
  • What We're Looking For :

  • Must have basic accounting knowledge. 1 year experience with Sage 300 software preferred.
  • Ability to lift 30-50lbs when required. Forklift experience preferred.
  • Strong Communication Skills : Excellent oral and written communication abilities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Exceptional Organizational Skills : Ability to manage purchasing logistics, conduct annual inventory counts, and maintain detailed records.
  • Attention to Detail : Keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks, including customer service and inventory management.
  • Time Management : Effective time management skills to manage various tasks and responsibilities efficiently.
  • Technical Proficiency : Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to support administrative functions.
