Job Summary
The Director, Brand Execution and Operations is a critical leadership role within the Product Strategy & Supplier Partnerships (PSSP) department at McKesson Canada. This position focuses on optimizing and operationalizing relationships with Brand manufacturers by supporting the establishment of manufacturer partnerships and then translating agreements into efficient, cost-effective, and compliant operational processes. The Director serves as a vital enabler to the PSSP teams, informing manufacturer engagement and ensuring that manufacturer agreements are executed efficiently, and with consistency. This role drives value for both McKesson Canada and its Brand manufacturer partners through strategic sourcing, contract management, and performance optimization.
Specific Responsibilities
- Lead a team to oversee and execute against agreements related to brand manufacturer sourcing and distribution services
- Manage and maintain repository of contracts and trigger negotiation preparation activities.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry regulations.
- Continuously refine contract management processes to enhance efficiency and reduce risks.
- Build appropriate framework to standardize contract terms, as possible; proactively anticipating and mitigating future risks
- Analyze existing contracts and operational processes to uncover potential areas for revenue enhancement and optimization.
- Coordinate with Procurement team on projects / strategies to optimize inventory and reduce supply chain risks. Represent voice of manufacturer partners and Sourcing teams in operational initiatives
- Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturer-related operations
- In collaboration with finance, lead budgeting and regular forecasting processes on behalf of PSSP team. Assess variances to plan based on market dynamics, internal operations
- Support PSSP teams, primarily the Account Management team, in development of their negotiation strategy and approach through analysis to inform contract negotiations, including customer profitability, contract optimization opportunities. Participate in partner meetings and business reviews as requested
- Lead a team to conduct robust analysis to assess end to end profitability by customer, product class and provide recommendations to drive improvements. Analyze performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop, champion and adopt tools to automate processes, enhance efficiency and strengthen data-driven decision making

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data & Analytics, Finance Supply Chain Management, Life Sciences, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing, contract management, supply chain operations, or a related field within the biopharma industry.Minimum of 5+ years of leadership experience in strategic sourcing, contract management, supply chain operations, biopharma or related field.Key Competencies
Experience in strategic negotiations, supplier relationship management, strategic sourcing, manufacturer planning, and contract management.Robust understanding of sourcing / manufacturer partnership contract structuresExperience in inventory management and supply chain optimization.Experience in the Life Sciences or Wholesale distribution industryAnalytical skillset, with the ability to structure and leverage advanced data and insights for financial analysis, strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.Outstanding communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Proven leadership experience with a track record of driving operational excellence and managing large-scale projects.We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
