Structural Design Engineer

Our client is a leading manufacturing company.

Position Scope

Reporting to the Manager, Engineer & Projects this position provides design expertise to the site and project engineering group in the application of the National Build and Fire Codes in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide design engineering services, expert opinion, structural and civil inspections, project management and oversite for the design, construction and / or maintenance of various building, equipment, lifting device upgrades and fire safety upgrades at a uranium conversion facility.
• Conducts technical investigations, studies and reports and makes related recommendations.
• Responsible for ensuring site compliance with all regulatory codes, standards, and company structural and civil design criteria and test reports.

Required Skills and Knowledge

Education and Experience

Lean certification or demonstrated experience an asset.
