Job Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all projects at NuWave Research Inc., ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This key role involves coordinating with various departments, managing resources, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders. This is a full-time on-site position located at 4060 McConnell Dr, Burnaby, BC V5A 3A8, with partial remote working negotiable.

Key Responsibilites

  • Project Planning and Execution : Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Budget Management : Monitor project budgets and ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Reporting : Provide regular updates and detailed reports on project status, progress, and any issues.
  • Stakeholder Communication : Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Intercompany Communication : Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between different departments within the company.
  • Risk Management : Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Quality Assurance : Ensure all projects meet the company's quality standards and client expectations.
  • Leadership Support : Support and motivate project team, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or manufacturing management, preferably in industries such as food processing, pharmaceuticals, chemical manufacturing, agricultural processing, pet food production, or biotechnology.
  • Training : Formal training in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or equivalent practical experience is an asset.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello, Monday.com, ClickUp, Wrike, Smartsheet, Jira) and familiarity with microwave technology or related fields.
  • Leadership Skills : Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including intercompany personal communication and relationship building to maximize positive project outcomes.
  • Problem-Solving Sk ills : Strong analytical and problem-solving abilites.
  • Organizational Ski lls : Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry Knowledge : Experience in the microwave technology or food processing industry.
  • Certifications : PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications are an asset.
  • Adaptability : Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a fast-paced environment.
