The chosen candidate will be responsible for operating the main deck / lower deck loader in a safe and proper manner and reporting any equipment damage or potential problems.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

Operate ground servicing equipment.

Report abnormalities in equipment or performance.

Stay updated on new equipment and procedures.

Obey and operate according to all airport procedures.

Operate equipment during assigned shifts.

Maintain responsibility for equipment condition, fuel, and performance.

Stay informed about equipment upgrades, changes, and policies.

Lift packages up to 60 lbs repeatedly.

Sort packages based on customer, destination, and other parameters.

Communicate piece counts and package info to Lead Hands and Supervisors.

Handle customer packages and freight with care.

Adhere to safety and security protocols.

Perform general housekeeping duties.

Handle Dangerous Goods as per protocols.

Meet deadlines for freight build-up / breakdown as part of a team.

Complete required training modules (WHMIS, SMS, Dangerous Goods, etc.).

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications :

High School diploma or equivalent.

Ability to obtain a RAIC security clearance.

Maintain valid AVOP.

Valid driver’s license and excellent driving skills.

Ability to drive in all weather conditions.

Ability to lift up to 60 lbs repeatedly.

Ability to work in a team environment and meet deadlines.

Punctuality and good attendance.

Quick learner and adaptable.

Willing to develop further within Vancouver operations.

Strong communication skills.

Willing to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Good organizational skills.

Basic reading and writing skills.
