Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting laboratory operations, ensuring accurate analysis of malted grains, and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards. This position requires strong organizational skills, technical competence, and a commitment to quality.

Your responsibilities include and are not limited to :

• Comply with all health and safety policies and actively participate in site safety initiatives.
• Sample reception and preparation to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Physical analysis of malted grains using established laboratory methods.
• Wet chemistry analysis of malted grains to assess quality and composition.
• Work with LIMS or internal database to record, track, and manage laboratory data.
• Maintain accurate record keeping including active participation in document control systems.
• Stock reagents and consumables to ensure laboratory readiness and efficiency.
• Perform general housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.
• Carry out other duties as assigned to support laboratory and site operations.
• Diploma or degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or related field.
• Prior laboratory experience preferred, especially in food or grain analysis.
• Familiarity with wet chemistry techniques and physical testing methods.
• Experience with LIMS or laboratory databases is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Fluently spoken and written in English.
• Please note this is a 32hr / week position (Monday-Thursday)
