About the position
The Master Trainer, Health-Care Provider Education supports the organization’s capacity to deliver standardized U-First®! health-care provider training across the province to enhance the skills and knowledge of person-centered care practices among workers in long-term care. This role focuses on increasing the scope and reach of the U-First®! program by leading the train-the-trainer component of the initiative.
Master Trainers are responsible for providing training, coaching and support to health-care provider education facilitators, ensuring the seamless and effective delivery of the Society’s training program to a health-care audience. Master Trainers are also responsible for collaborating with the Provincial Coordinator, Health-Care Community of Practice to ensure program goals are achieved cohesively.
This role reports to the Manager, Health-Care Provider Education Delivery.

Salary range : $73,000 to $80,000 per year
Contract : Three-year grant-funded term position with potential for extension
Hours : Full time - 35 hours per week
Location : Vancouver- Hybrid
Key Responsibilities
About you
You have a post-secondary education or relevant degree in the health care, social work, education, gerontology or another related field. You are an experienced professional with a deep understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, combined with a commitment to fostering person-centred care. With a background in health care, social work, gerontology, or a related field, you have cultivated skills in adult education, group facilitation, and coaching professionals to achieve their goals.
Your strong organizational abilities enable you to manage training programs, support professional development, and ensure program objectives are met. You thrive in collaborative environments, building trusting relationships with community partners and health-care providers, while also working independently to achieve results.
You bring a passion for empowering others through education, and your knowledge of adult learning principles ensures engaging and effective delivery of training. Whether facilitating workshops, evaluating program outcomes, or contributing to provincial initiatives, you bring professionalism, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence to every aspect of your work.
