Our client, a well-established law firm in British Columbia, is seeking an experienced Corporate Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support its Corporate / Commercial practice. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and enjoys working closely with lawyers, clients, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Open and close client files and prepare pre-bills
- Manage lawyers’ calendars, meeting schedules, and Bring Forward systems
- Draft agreements, supporting documents, and correspondence based on written instructions or verbal direction
- Conduct, review, and organize due diligence searches
- Complete and manage filings through BC Online, LTSA, and the BC Personal Property Registry
- Organize and maintain corporate precedents and records
- Respond to day-to-day inquiries and administrative requests
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
Qualifications & Experience
Paralegal or Legal Assistant with a Corporate / Commercial backgroundProficiency with BC Online, LTSA, and BC Personal Property Registry filingsStrong understanding of corporate structures, trusts, and partnershipsAbility to read, interpret, and apply legal documentation and legislationExcellent critical thinking, analytical, and research skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple prioritiesTeam-focused, flexible, and client-service orientedWhat Our Client Offers
