Job Description
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated knowledge of PLC’s, instrumentation, motors & motor controls, relays, and transformers are required. You will provide support to production to ensure equipment is functional, operational, and safe. You will possess strong communication skills, understanding and commitment to the team effort, flexibility, and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done.
Requirements
- Valid Electrical Certificate of Qualification (309A or 442A), Apprentices need not apply
- 8+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with outside vendors and outsourced contractors
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of PLC’s, instrumentation, motors & motor controls, relays, and transformers
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Working knowledge of related maintenance and repair practices
- Valid Class G Drivers Licence
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Must have mathematics, oral and written communications skills at the trade journeyman level.
- Ability to deal with multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively
- Ability to work under pressure to ensure production deadlines

- Dayshift : 6 : 30am-6 : 30pm, Nightshift : 6 : 30pm-6 : 30am (Shift work and weekends are required)

Engineering Degree; Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical.Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or certified as a technologist (CET or AScT) by provincial / territorial professional association.Substantial experience of ten to twelve years in a managerial position within a manufacturing operation, preferably in a cement plant or related industry.Ensure the achievement of business goals aligned with the corporate objectives through managing execution of business plans.Champion new ideas and initiatives and create an environment that supports change and innovation.
