Ours is a culture of ?A Players attract A Players?. Currently, CMS Infrastructure Inc. is seeking a Product Development Manager to join our operations team in Nisku, AB.
Role Summary :
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing facilities, manufacturing processes, CAD modeling and design, conventional and composite materials, and a proven track record of leading design and development projects. ? This role will involve guiding the development of innovative products, optimizing designs with modern materials, and integrating advanced manufacturing technologies. ? Additionally, the candidate should possess strong project management, team leadership, quoting, customer relations, and business planning skills.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the design and development of new products from concept to production. ?
- Optimize product designs using modern composite materials and large-scale 3D printing. ?
- Integrate automation into manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reliability. ?
- Manage and oversee the production of custom products for various industries, including material handling, transport, oil and gas, and wood products. ?
- Develop and implement new production systems and automation. ?
- Utilize CAD modeling and design software to create detailed concepts, product designs and specifications.
- Prepare and manage project quotes, ensuring accurate cost estimation and budgeting.
- Oversee fabrication processes, ensuring high-quality production standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Develop and execute business plans to drive growth and achieve company objectives.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product designs meet customer requirements and industry standards.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in manufacturing technologies and materials.
- This role will require international travel.
Qualifications : ?
Related trade or engineering qualifications. ?Proven experience in managing manufacturing facilities and leading investment in automated processes. ?Strong background in production of custom designed products?Proficiency in CAD modeling and design software.Experience in project management and team leadership.Strong skills in quoting and cost estimation.Broad knowledge of fabrication processes.Excellent customer relations and business planning skills.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Strong leadership and project management skills.Other Qualifications :
Must be available to work at the operations facility in Nisku each day.Must have good communication skills - read, speak and write technical English fluently.Compensation will be based on the candidates' qualifications.
