Required Education and Experience : Master’s degree from an accredited university in the area of Speech-Language Pathology. Two years of clinical experience, with one in an outpatient setting preferred. Advanced clinical experience in dysphagia diagnosis and treatment.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications : CPR certification. Current Florida licensure. Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.
Summary / Objective : Interpret pacing rhythms. Applies and removes monitors on patients. Reprograms devices and provides patient / family education
Essential Functions
Evaluate patients to obtain data necessary for treatment.
Provide speech treatment to patients per the Plan of Care and in accordance with the physician's prescription.
Maintain required documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with Watson Clinic requirements.
Maintain an appropriate daily schedule to maximize departmental efficiency and ensure quality patient care.
Maintain effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and co-workers.
Participate in educational and professional activities that enhance self, co-workers, and patient care.
