THE ROLE

Are you experienced in repairing and maintenance, as well as in rebuilding and installation of machinery and equipment? Are you a self-motivated and energetic maintenance person with an eye for detail and pride in your work? We are currently hiring a Millwright for a client in the Brandford area within the packaging industry.

Pay Structure: Hourly, Full-time, Permanent Starting at: $40.00-$45.00 per hour Plus $1 premium (nights)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performing preventative maintenance (inspection and examination of machinery and equipment)
• Assist with tooling changeover and machine start-up
• Identify and record problems relating to product, process and quality system
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots and repair complex production equipment
• Perform general building maintenance
• Weld, cut and repair parts as per work order
• Create and complete work orders and assist in the planning projects
• Work closely with Maintenance Team
• Maintain a safe working environment
• Abide by all safety and plant rules
• Adhere to established quality and housekeeping standards
• Reporting to the Supervisor or to the Plant Manager
• Comfortable with computers
• Knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes
• Electrical background/knowledge
• Experience in working with robotics and PLCs

REQUIREMENTS

• Ontario Red Seal Certificate of Qualification – Millwright 433A
• A minimum of three years of industrial experience preferred
• 2-3 years experience in Industrial Industry
• Direct plasticizing, injection and blow moulding experience a MUST
• Mechanical and hydraulic/pneumatic experience
