Installer/Fitter

GAGNÉ MÉTAL is seeking an Assembler / Installer to join its on-site installation team. The selected candidate will participate in the on-site assembly and installation of metal structures such as staircases, balconies, railings, and related components, using prefabricated parts, in collaboration with installers and team leaders.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install metal and wood balconies, staircases and structures on job sites according to provided plans

• Perform assembly, adjustment, and alignment of components (bolting, fastening, leveling)

• Assist installers and welders during on-site work

• Safely handle and position structural components

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite

• Follow the team leader’s instructions and meet project deadlines

Required Qualifications

• Experience in installation, assembly, or manual labor on construction sites (an asset)

• Ability to read basic drawings and take accurate measurements

• Good physical condition and ability to work outdoors

• Proficiency in French (required)

Working Conditions

• Full-time – Permanent – 40 hours per week

• Day shift: 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday to Friday

• Competitive compensation based on experience and CCQ salary scale

• Location: Montréal, QC H1E 3R2

• Candidate must be able to commute to the starting point or assigned job sites
