We are looking to fill the position of Demand Planner for a distribution client located in Ville St-Laurent.

Reporting to the Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the demand planning process for his / her portfolio. He / she must establish a monthly demand forecast by product / warehouse based on sales history and include the impacts of Marketing / Sales business plans.

Reporting to the Department Manager :

Update and adjust sales forecasts based on past data.

Prepare demand plans for new products.

Correct discrepancies between forecast and actual sales.

Analyze market and customer trends to refine forecasts.

Optimize sales forecast parameters.

Resolve supply issues with relevant parties.

Create and manage project tracking tools.

Set up and monitor performance indicators.

Identify and correct factors affecting performance.

Encourage positive leadership and contribute to corporate objectives.

Collaborate with product and procurement teams.

Actively participate in S&OP meetings with various departments (Marketing, Sales, etc.).

Foster a good working climate with all employees.

Contribute to the improvement of demand planning processes.

Perform other tasks as required.

Apply procurement policies and procedures.

  • Bachelor's degree in administration (operations and logistics management) or industrial engineering
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in a similar position
  • Excellent knowledge of the Office suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
  • Excellent knowledge and experience with data management software (Access)
  • Experience with inventory and warehouse management software (ERP, MRP, WMS, TMS)
  • Bilingualism (French and English), both written and spoken
  • Experience in the retail sector
  • Have worked in a similar logistics model
  • Any combination of training and experience relevant to the job will be considered.
