THE ROLE
Our client is looking for a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join a well-established manufacturing team in Simcoe, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have successfully completed the Certificate of Qualification (CoQ) and demonstrate a strong understanding of machining processes. They should also be proficient in operating a variety of tools and equipment to craft precision tools, dies, and fixtures. Schedule : 7am-3pm / 3pm-11pm / 11pm-7am rotating every 2 weeks
$41 to $43.40 per hour based on experience
Level 2 / 3 apprentices - 34.85 to 38.95 based on hours completed.

Design and fabricate tools, dies, and fixtures based on specifications and schematics.Utilize CAD software and AutoCAD to create detailed designs and plans for tool production.Operate milling machines, lathes, and other machining equipment to manufacture components.Assemble parts and perform welding tasks as needed to complete tool fabrication.Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot issues during the production process.REQUIRMENTS
Proficient in math skills for precise measurements and calculations.Experience with CAD software, including AutoCAD, is preferred.Strong background in machining processes, including the use of hand tools and machinery.Ability to read and interpret schematics for effective tool design.Experience in fabricating components from various materials is a plus.Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.CofQ Tool and Die Maker certificationOpen to Level 3 apprentice (adjusted salary)#INDSTRIVEON
