The student will provide assistance to Tracy Sherlock in researching, interviewing, writing, and editing for the KPU 50th anniversary book project.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES :
- Fact-finding about KPU's history and various individuals involved in KPU
- Interviewing people involved in KPU
- Transcribing interviews and writing profiles of people involved in KPU
- Editing other students' written work
- Reviewing profiles with interviewees
- Creating and maintaining the project website and social media accounts
REQUIREMENTS :
Strong written and verbal communication skillsMust be a journalism or creative writing studentReliable and hardworkingFamiliarity with basic principles of web design and social mediaInterested in history and post-secondary educationThis position is reserved for KPU Students only
Salary Information
Student Assistants are paid as per the following :
Less than one year of post-secondary (less than 30 credits) - BC Minimum WageOne year of post-secondary (30-60 credits) - BC Minimum Wage plus 8%With a post-secondary diploma or degree - BC Minimum Wage plus 21%Does this role sound like it was made for you, yet you don't check every box?
