Lactation Consultant Maternal Newborn Breastfeeding Clinic

To provide quality patient care to postpartum women and new-born patients and to support the breastfeeding experience.

Qualifications :

• Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current BCLS certification required at time of hire
• Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience as an IBCLC required
• 3-5 years experience in a clinical setting providing direct patient care for breastfeeding preferred
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Provider certification preferred
• Preferred candidates will demonstrate ongoing professional development through     recognized courses in Maternal and / or Newborn Nursing (e.g. Perinatal Nursing Pediatric Advanced Life Support PALS etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to work with families
• Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize
• Good team player
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
• Satisfactory employment and attendance record required

Additional Information :

Hours :  Monday to Friday - Days; 0800-1600 (hours subject to change based on operational needs)

Salary : $41.78 to $58.02 per hour
