The role will require but not be limited to :
- Working as part of an experienced and established electrical team to leverage previous project designs, whilst still being adaptable and able to provide innovative designs and thinking when required
- Work across a continuous succession of small and large, domestic and international projects as they progress through the project lifecycle from early concept development, detailed design, construction and operations
- Preparing conceptual and detailed electrical designs of various types of ore crushing and conveying facilities and associated services
- Defining and recommending design methods, specifications, and performance of functional requirements for new projects
- Undertaking the preparation of feasibility studies, surveys and reports, design layouts, bill of quantities and cost estimates. Generating equipment specifications and support the equipment evaluation and procurement activities during project execution.
- Carrying-out site inspections and liaising with suppliers, clients, consultants or commissioning engineers. Engineering support to installation, construction and commissioning teams with the occasional deployment as a commissioning resource.
- Liaising with internal and external clients, other discipline professionals, and stakeholders within the industry to ensure the timely, accurate and cost effective delivery of projects
What are we looking for?
Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical or Controls; P.Eng desirable)Diploma or AD with Electrical Trade background may be consideredMinerals processing industry experience4+ years' experience in operational or design engineering capacitiesSelf- directed with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oralExcellent written and verbal communication skills Extensive PLC experience. Rockwell experience an AssetExtensive SCADA experience, CitectSCADA an assetAbility to interpret Electrical & Controls drawings & engineering documents (PID's, SLD's, Schematics, Sequence & Control Function Diagrams, SAMA Diagrams)Control system network installation and commissioning;Electrical & Control System troubleshooting & fault-finding abilitiesFailure analysis skills and root cause analysis experienceFailure analysis skills and root cause analysis experience and familiarity with short circuit calculation and analysis.Desired skills, knowledge and experience : Experience in project management Skills in MS Office suite, MS Access, MS project, PLC & SCADA and other engineering tools such as AutoCAd, ETAP and SKM Ground Mat moduleDemonstrated working knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and National Electrical Code (NEC)What is in it for you?

The salary offered to the successful person for this position will consider education, experience, relevant skills and capability, geographic location and market conditions at the time of hire.
