Board of Directors – Call for Nomination

Join our SCS board of directors. We are a person-centered organization serving the needs of children and adults with developmental disabilities.

Service Coordination Support (SCS) is the initial contact for people who have a developmental disability or children with autism in Ottawa and the Eastern Region (Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, Prescott Russell and Renfrew). We help people find available resources in the community that are needed to assist them in their daily lives. We empower families/individuals to make informed choices about the supports they seek. SCS is a not-for-profit bilingual organization managed by a volunteer board of directors.

We are seeking volunteers from within the Ottawa and Eastern Region. Ideal candidates have demonstrated experience with board duties and governance issues and exhibit strong leadership and expertise in areas such as:

• Government relations
• Finance
• Marketing
• Public relations
• IT
• Community leader
• Developmental services sector knowledge
• Human resources

We are committed to building a board that reflects the diverse communities we wish to serve. We especially welcome applicants from individuals who are bilingual, identify as Indigenous, and other diverse populations, as these perspectives are essential to our values.
