We are looking for a Manufacturing Production Engineer to help enhance the efficiency and productivity of our metal stamping and robotic welding operations. This role involves evaluating and refining existing processes, as well as designing, developing, and implementing new methods. The position also includes troubleshooting current production challenges and collaborating across departments to find effective solutions. You will oversee multiple projects and provide ongoing production support.
Location - Kitchener -Waterloo region
Pay - $85k-$120k
Primary Responsibilities :
- Assess and refine current metal stamping and robotic welding workflows to maximize efficiency and output.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to minimize waste and boost product quality.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of new production processes as necessary.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues within the manufacturing process.
- Partner with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to introduce and execute process improvements.
- Create and maintain process documentation such as flow charts, standard operating procedures, and training guides.
- Perform process audits and take corrective actions when needed.
- Keep up with the latest trends and innovations in metal stamping and robotic welding technologies.
Qualifications :
3+ years of experience in a production engineering role, ideally in metal stamping or robotic welding.Knowledge of Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Lean manufacturing methodologies.Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Familiarity with CAD software for design purposes.
