Corporate Law Clerk
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare corporate documentation including articles of incorporation, amendments, amalgamations, dissolutions, and revivals
- Draft resolutions and other transactional documents
- Register business names and maintain corporate records
- Conduct corporate and regulatory searches
- Prepare and file annual resolutions and compliance documents
- Manage and coordinate a busy lawyer’s calendar, meetings, and deadlines
- Provide general administrative and legal support within a fast-paced corporate practice
- Assist with PPSA registrations and filings
- Utilize legal tools and software such as Appara, MS Office, NetDocuments, Soluno
Qualifications
Law Clerk or Legal Assistant Diploma (or equivalent education)Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a corporate law roleProficiency with legal software and document management tools; experience with Appara, NetDocuments, Soluno, and PPSA systems is an assetStrong organizational skills and high attention to detailAbility to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with lawyers, clients, and professionalsComfortable working independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environmentSelf-motivated and proactiveZaheeda Merali
