Job description

Grade 3 / 4 1.0 FTE Term assignment at James Ardiel Elementary School ending June 30, 2025 or return of incumbent (teacher who owns the position) not to exceed June 30, 2025. This position will earn the successful candidate a continuing contract with the district.

James Ardiel Elementary School has approximately 460 students. This school has a collaborative staff with a StrongStart Program. There is also a Community Schools Partnership program (Blast, Attendance Matters, Girls Group) and a meal program (Breakfast / Lunch). This school has a numeracy initiative as well as an early literacy teacher. James Ardiel has a music program including band and choir. There is also very good technology (Coding / 3D Printer / Laptops / iPads). This school has an Indigenous club and an Indigenous Childcare Worker. James Ardiel focuses on Social Emotional Learning, Equity, Inclusion and Diversity.

Requirements :

Bachelor of Education

Valid BC Teaching Certificate

Salary range is $59,711 to $109,520, with placement on the range based on length of service, FTE and qualifications in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
