Senior Manager, Wealth Management Business Risk and Reporting.

Location : Toronto, ON, Hybrid (3 days on site - Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays)

Contract Length : 12 months with Possibility of extension.

What will you do? (there is lots more on this in a nutshell )

  • Manage team of 7, head a shared services group of risk data and reporting specialists. Reporting to the Sr Director, manage a team of 7, who process risk events, prepare KRIs, manage Tableau dashboards of bank’s risk data, prepare monthly and quarterly risk reports for Sr Executives etc.
  • Ensure processes and controls exist to deliver robust and informative business risk management reporting.
  • Act as a key liaison to Global Risk Management (GRM) on new developments, new policy requirements, or issues of management interest and ensure new significant business risk directives / requirements are disseminated.
  • Provide oversight support for various risk activities across most risk categories : monitor aging of risk assessments;

provide risk committees with required tools, reporting and expertise.

Support Wealth Management WM Operational Risk & Shared Services and other WM risk practitioners globally on any special projects.

Develop strategic approach, ascertain objectives, determine resource and reporting requirements, and engage others within the business to help fulfil execution requirements.

  • Provide expert Business Risk guidance on significant new change initiatives.
  • Build and sustain robust linkages with internal Centres of Governance, GRM, other Banking Business Risk teams and essential infrastructural areas supporting the business to enable line of sight over new and emerging risk issues meriting escalation and or action and satisfy information needs for reporting and risk assessment activity.

If you are right for his role, you probably have :

  • 5+ years of people management experience, Good with technology and seasoned people manager.
  • University Degree in a relevant field.
  • Proficiency in Tableau, Excel, and Access.
  • Strong data collection aptitude and experience.
  • Previous experience in similar reporting roles.
  • Experience working in banks, insurance, or very large companies.

Nice-to-have Skills :

  • MBA, CPA, CFA.
  • Knowledge of Wealth Management and products, processes, and organization.
