Job description

Adecco is currently hiring a temporary full-time Driver Helper for our client, who deliver quality products and good energy, specializing in international refining and marketing. In this role, you will work with drivers or technicians in delivering products to residential and commercial customers or completing installation or maintenance work, by aiding with manual labour tasks. This role is physically demanding This role requires maintaining work standards for quality and safety. Experience working with Hazardous Materials would be ideal.

  • Pay rate : $17.00 / hour
  • Location : Canso, NS
  • Shifts : 6 : 00am-6 : 00pm
  • Job type : Temporary | Full-time

    • Responsibilities :

  • Work with the driver or technician in delivering product to residential and commercial customers or completing installation or maintenance work, by aiding with manual labour tasks.
  • Assist with pre and post-trip inspections
  • Prepare the truck for equipment and maintenance and / or prepare the fuel hose for dispensing of product.
  • Deliver paperwork to customers.
  • Assist with daily shift report and all required paperwork
  • Perform ther duties as required

    • Qualifications and Requirements :

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • 1-3 Years General Labour Experience
  • Experience working with Hazardous Materials would be an asset
  • Technical skills related to maintenance trades are preferred
  • Requires the ability to multi-task operational duties
  • Requires the ability to recognize hazards and prioritize
  • The physical demands include sitting, standing, bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, etc. The employee may be required to balance and crawl
  • Able to maintain work standards for quality and safety
