Eligibility:

This posting is open to Teachers on the Occasional Teacher List currently employed by Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board and external applicants.

Salary Range:

The salary of a teacher shall be determined in accordance with Article 32 of the OECTA Collective Agreement according to QECO rating and years of experience. Effective September 1 2025 teacher salaries will range from $56288.00 to $119949.00 (based on a 1.0FTE)

Commencing March 31 2026

Qualifications:

• Certificate of Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT)
• Division and Subject Specific Qualifications
• French as a Second Language Part 1

Application and Requirements:

• Current Certificate of Qualifications from the Ontario College of Teachers
• Two professional letters of reference
• Recent graduates include University transcript & practice teaching reports (copies only)

As a condition of employment the successful candidate must provide a Criminal Background Check (CBC) with vulnerable sector screening current within six months of date of hire.

NOTES: This position open to Occasional Teachers currently employed by Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic District School Board who have completed a minimum of one (1) LTO assignment that was a minimum of four (4) months in duration and whose last evaluation resulted in a satisfactory addition to the applicants from the school boards occasional teacher roster a school board may choose as one of the applicants to be interviewed a teacher employed as a permanent teacher elsewhere in the province who has applied to the posting. Articles 17.6 and 17.7 of the Collective Agreement apply.
