Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including journal entries, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end closings
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations
- Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors as needed
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a general accounting role
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar)
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- CPA designation or working towards it is an asset
