Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our growing team. The role involves handling day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, tax support, and compliance work for multiple clients across different industries. This position is ideal for someone who wants hands-on exposure, continuous learning, and growth in a professional accounting firm.
Key Responsibilities :
Maintain accurate books of accounts for multiple clients
Perform bookkeeping, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Assist with corporate (T2) and personal (T1) tax returns
Handle GST / HST registration, filings, and reconciliations
Support payroll processing and statutory remittances
Assist with CRA correspondence, audits, and reviews
Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting and tax regulations
Coordinate with senior accountants and managers on assignments
Maintain proper documentation and working papers
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
1–3 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience (accounting firm experience preferred)
Good understanding of Canadian accounting principles and tax basics
Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Good communication skills and a professional attitude
CPA students or candidates pursuing CPA are encouraged to apply
