Operations Specialist

Robert Half is partnering with a well-established global leader in engineered heavy lifting and transport solutions. With a workforce of over 7,000 employees worldwide, this organization supports critical infrastructure and industrial projects across sectors such as nuclear, civil engineering, mining, energy, and power grid development.This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Fleet Manager to join a high-performing team and take ownership of a fleet of 300+ heavy assets, including cranes, tractor trailers, and specialized mining equipment. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving operational excellence, safety, and collaboration across departments.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage daily operations of the fleet maintenance department.Supervise and support a team of supervisors and techniciansOversee the maintenance of over 300 assets, ensuring uptime and reliability.Monitor, open, and close work orders; prioritize urgent breakdowns alongside scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance.Ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and efficient service delivery.Prepare and present quotes for internal and external customers.Foster collaboration between equipment, operations, and project teams to align fleet support with business needs.Utilize CMMS systems for maintenance tracking and reporting; SAP experience is an asset.Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and transportation regulations.Analyze fleet performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.- Experience in heavy-duty mechanical work or automotive or related industrial experience - Proven management or supervisory experience overseeing departments of 20+ individuals.- Minimum of 10 years of industry-related experience, particularly in cranes or transport.- Completion of post-secondary education in a related field- Proficiency in equipment maintenance, CMMS, and SAP systemsWhat we offer:Competitive Salary based on experience $110,000 - $130,000annual bonusHealth and Dental BenefitsRSP planRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
