In this role, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment and CAT C-175 Prime power units. This role offers a rewarding, and life-changing opportunity, building strong northern communities while working in one of Canada’s most unique areas. • Rate : $61.75 / hr - OT after 8 hrs a day / 40 hrs a week • Travel : Marshalling points to site from Edmonton or Yellowknife. • Accommodations : Customer Camp • Industry leading Employer paid benefits • Employee Share Purchase Plan Options • RRSP and Retirement Plan options • Boot and Tool Allowance • Employee Rewards – exclusive access to discounts and perks • CAT Dealer grade training## Job Description : Major Job Functions Operate and repair Caterpillar generators in a powerhouse setting* Diagnose and troubleshoot C175 engine or genset repairs* Diagnosis and repair engines, generator, fuel system, heat exchangers and PLC controllers in the powerhouse* Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily* Complete technical documentation (daily service reports, warranty, crossover notes, inspections)* Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team* Work with the Service Supervisor on various tasks as required Qualifications Interprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician, or Dual Ticket Electrical and HET Certified* Preference give to Dual Ticket Electrical and HET Certified* Valid drivers licence with a successful recent drivers abstract* Prior powerhouse operation experience would be considered and asset* Supervisory control system experience, Woodward, SCADA ,DSLC, emcp 4.1-4.4 would be considered and asset* Completion of Finning S-Levels, Failure Analysis, Machine Electronic Controls or Tier 4 training would be considered an asset* Previous Caterpillar power generation or mining experience would be considered an asset Important Details : Schedule : + 12 Hours per Day + 21 x 21 Continuous Day Shift / Night Shift Rotation (21 Days / 21 Off / 21 Nights)* Customer flights provided from Edmonton or Yellowknife* Customer Camp providedAt Finning, we prioritize creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
