Your Role asCivil/StructuralEngineering Intern

Reporting to theSupervisorofCivilEngineeringServicestheCivil/StructuralEngineering Intern will be working under the guidance and supervision of senior engineers.The successful candidate will work closely withcivil/structuraldesigners andcivil/structuralengineers while performing entry-level engineering work on small and large-scale projects.You willalso executecoordinateandexpeditea succession of different engineering activities as part of capital expenditure projects.

Your Key Accountabilities

• Technical and Documentation
• • Assistin the design analysis and implementation ofcivil/structuralsystems ensuring compliance with codes standards and client requirements.
• • Conduct site inspections surveys and assessments to gather data for project designs.
• • Prepare technical drawings specifications and reports under the guidance of senior engineers.
• • Performbasicload calculations andmaterialsselectionforcivil/structuralsystems.
• • Support troubleshooting and provide technical solutions to complex engineering problems.
• • Support QAQC (quality assurance quality control) checks as directed.
• Project Coordinationand Client Management
• • Participate in client meetings to gather technical requirements providing insights and solutions as needed.
• • Foster relationships with clients by delivering quality workmaintainingprofessionalism and responding to inquiriesin a timely manner.
• • Assistproject managers in tracking project timelines budgets and resources to ensure on-time delivery.
• • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams suppliers and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• • Contribute to progress reports meeting minutes and other project documentation.
• • Support the review of project milestones and provide input to improve efficiency.
• • Provides administrative support to project teams.

Qualifications

• Working towards adegree or diploma incivil or structuralengineeringis with completion of 2 years.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD.
• Proficiencywith Microsoft Office Suites applications.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producinghigh-qualitywork.
• Strong commitment to safety quality and sustainable design practices.

Term:
(40 hours/week)
