About Our Role

We’re seeking an experienced and passionate Activities and Lifestyle Coordinator who can work closely with our activities team, helping design and deliver engaging, person-centred therapeutic programmes that support our residents’ needs and overall wellbeing. In this role, you’ll work closely with residents in our Level 3 Memory Care facility ensuring that planned activities are meaningful, inclusive and tailored to our residents’ interests, abilities and cultural preferences - supporting independence, fostering connection and bringing purpose and joy to their daily living.

Reporting to our GM – Care & Villages, this role will see you supporting residents to achieve individual health and wellbeing goals, maintain functional abilities and enhance their overall quality of life through meaningful recreational engagement.

This is a part-time position working Friday - Sunday 10 : 00am-4 : 00pm based at Elmwood Memory Care Home & Hospital in Napier.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and deliver structured, goal-oriented recreation programmes that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social wellbeing.
• Plan and maintain activity schedules and calendars in advance, ensuring proactive communication with wider teams to support the successful programme delivery for our residents.
• Create and review individual activity care plans in collaboration with residents, whānau, and care teams, ensuring appropriate therapeutic goals are integrated into plans.
• Provide regularly reporting including documenting
