As the Lead Data Integration Specialist, you will lead various initiatives by engineering ML model solutions for analytics purposes while also supporting the team through coaching using insurance data and advanced programming tools. You will be responsible for providing business value through the creation, implementation and maintenance of advanced analytical solutions in the organization’s Application Programming Interfaces (API) and effectively communicate said value to a business audience.
How you will create impact :
- Improving the pipeline with the delivery team while integrating reconciliation across the various assets in this vertical.
- Leading various initiatives by building ML model pipeline solutions from conceptual and business requirements, supporting live-analytical solutions for analytical purposes.
- Defining and promoting design principles based on the best analytic solution, considering scalability, automation, security, long-term maintainability and performance that is in alignment with the target architecture strategy of the BI and Data Office departments.
- Ensuring solutions are based on the highest ML Ops industry standards and best practices in terms of data handling, production code standards and meeting SLAs.
- Working with BI Architects on data projects involving complex problems or high-level business objectives and leading the design of ML model solutions, ensuring the outcomes of the projects meet the business objectives.
- Leading the team from a technical perspective, ensuring that processes are followed, while supporting and coaching junior resources.

You have 10 years of experience in ML Engineering, Data engineering / Integration or other related field.Strong focus on model serving using REST APIs and continuous monitoring.You have a post-secondary degree in Computer Science or a related field.You have experience leading others to solve complex problems using analytical thinking, tools and judgment to identify innovative solutions.You have a strong understanding of the insurance industry and have experience working with Policy Center data.You have excellent knowledge and understanding of data analysis, programing, modeling techniques, data warehouse and data management, research, architecture and design.Experience with following technologies and environments is required : R, SQL, Python, Synapse, Databricks and Azure Data Factory.This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.What you need to know :

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to : local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and / or business performance, or other business metrics.
