As Naikoon enters a period of growth, we’re seeking a Project Coordinator to help support our expanding team and the values-driven construction projects we undertake. This is an opportunity to be part of a company pioneering new standards in energy efficiency, mass timber, prefabrication, and virtual construction.
Role overview
The Role of the Project Coordinator is to support the entire project team through process compliance with Naikoon’s systems. As the operational hub, you will champion organization and team coordination as you work directly with both PM and CM to maximize their efficacy in their respective roles.
Key responsibilities
- Project Support : Assist Project Managers (PMs) with deliverables and ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Document Management : Manage and maintain accurate project documentation in Naikoon’s systems, ensuring team access to current information.
- Subcontractor & Supplier Coordination : Oversee sub-trade compliance, procurement, and scheduling. Secure required documents (e.g., CGL, WSBC) before work begins.
- Procurement & Estimates : Source materials, prepare take-offs and estimates, and coordinate onsite deliveries.
- Tender & Contract Administration : Prepare SOWs, load tender software, and draft subcontracts and purchase orders for PM approval.
- Communication & Meetings : Attend meetings, prepare and distribute minutes, and facilitate effective team follow-ups.
- BuilderTrend & Compliance : Ensure accurate data entry and team compliance in BuilderTrend, including daily logs, permissions, and reports.
- Health & Safety : Assist in WorkSafe compliance, site safety binder coordination, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Continuous Improvement : Contribute to business improvement initiatives, lessons learned documentation, and innovative efficiency solutions.
What you’ll need to succeed
1-2 years in a Project Coordinator role coordinating commercial projects in value of $5+milCompletion of post-secondary program related to the construction industry (preferred)Site experience on residential and / or commercial construction sites (asset)Ability to effectively prioritize workload and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyEager to learn, positive attitudeTech-savvy (experience with Google Workspace and project management software)Intrigued?
