Contract Administrator - Casual on Call

GEI Consultants Inc is seeking an on-call Contract Administrator (CA) for our Land Development and Municipal projects team to support a project in Petawawa.

The CA would work collaboratively with the Construction Management Team as well as the Land Development Engineering Design team.

Our Land Development and Municipal Engineering department focuses on Municipal infrastructure projects for both private and public clients.

Responsibilities :

  • Field / site meetings on Municipal infrastructure projects including related Contract Administration works for both private and public clients;
  • Create / Coordinate and maintain accurate and detailed project records (i.e. daily reports, as-constructed data, site instructions / directives, Payment Certificates etc.);
  • Coordinate Project activities;
  • Ensure conformance with the Contract requirements (specifications, materials, etc.);
  • Liaise with municipal inspectors to ensure compliance with municipal requirements;
  • Create and maintain accurate and detailed project records;
  • Review drawings and provide comments with regards to constructability.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years professional experience in a site setting as a Site Inspector / Contract administrator;
  • Certificate, Diploma or Degree as a Civil Engineering Technologist;
  • OACETT Certified as a CET is an asset;
  • Knowledge of standard engineering construction principles, techniques and practices;
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organization and time management skills;
  • Experience managing projects and clients;
  • Excellent understanding of technical drawings, detailing and specifications;
  • Proficient with MS Office 365 (Word, Excel and Outlook);
  • Access to a vehicle and valid Ontario Driver’s License G’ Class.
