Embedded Software Developer
Akkodis is seeking an Embedded Software Development for a contract position with a client in Ottawa (Hybrid) and ideally looking for experience with Unreal Engine and GUI or UX and C++Position : Embedded Software DevelopmentLocation : Ottawa, ONContractMust-Have Skills The candidate will be involved in the full lifecycle of Embedded Software Development on the Ford Infotainment and Digital Cockpit system.
Developers will implement high-end GUI / UX Elements (screens, 3D scenes, widgets, etc.) and Application software that allows the user to pilot the vehicle and interact with features such as driver assistance, navigation, audio, media, phone, voice, and vehicle settings.
The software development will be primarily with Unreal Engine using C++ and Blueprints. Responsibilities Work on proof of concepts and implementation for next-generation digital cockpit and infotainment systems Implement graphical user interfaces and middleware Integrate APIs / SDKs that provide services and inputs required by the Unreal HMI Participate in system design, documentation, and testing to deliver a best-in-class infotainment system Work in an agile team of software developers, test engineers, technical product managers, and leads.
Be an active participant in an agile product development environment, including stand-up meetings, regular sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives to address issues, write unit tests, and contribute to code reviews
