Overview
Join our Horizon North team, where our people are driven by a desire to innovate, do social good, and move construction forward. As a Maintenance Worker, you will plan and carry out all planned and non-planned maintenance to the facilities, equipment, tooling, and systems. You will also request materials and subcontractor POs, and will oversee any third-party technician that works directly for the Maintenance department.
What you’ll do
- Plan and perform planned and non-planned maintenance on schedule and in a timely fashion
- Repair small tools, automation, vehicles and equipment
- Collaborate with Lodge Manager to ensure plant project deadlines are achieved
- Create scopes of work, takeoffs, and ordering of materials and subcontractors
- Track inventory and update completed work orders
- Conduct audits and periodic inspections of building structures to determine repair needs; establish and coordinate preventive rules and work practices to reduce and eliminate repair and maintenance
- Assist leadership with Job Hazards Assessments and Accident and Incident reports
- Attend toolbox meetings and communicate tasks to crewmembers daily / weekly / monthly
- Be accountable to the Maintenance Lead Hand and ensure quality of work
- Facilitate safe work practices and ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations for Alberta
